Last night I went to my best friend’s house for a get together and the majority of guests were a group of girls I went to school with and had been friends with at various stages throughout my years of schooling. Not one of them has mentally/emotionally etc made any leaps or bounds since high school finished. They were all sitting around talking about school and bitching about the same ‘nerds’ and talking about cool places to get drunk. It’s been eight years, ladies! Go discover something other than alcohol and netball so you can actually give the children you are teaching something interesting to think about. I might be juggling my life precariously right now but it’s interesting and nothing is certain and I can’t think of anything worse than your boring, predictable, jeans and embellished top, married to some blonde guy with a stable career existence.
I’m mostly ranting because they were saying nasty things about my old school friends (we were all in the losr group) and one of them said to me “oh, you look all grown up!” And I was all like pffft. You don’t know what grown up is. The end. That feels better.
My neck hurts. I have a headache. Time for work. Please let it be civilised.
